The vision concerning the Church
- God’s eternal purpose is to build up the Church – Eph.3:10-11
- The church is the building up of all God’s chosen, redeemed, regenerated, and transformed people, not a physical structure
- The church is the organism of the Triune God, not an organization
- The essence of the church is life, not knowledge – 1John 1:2; 5:1
- The nature of the church is of heaven, not of earth – Eph.2:6; Rev.21:9-10; Col.3:1-3
- The foundation of the church is Christ – Eph.1:22-23; 2:20; 1Cor.3:10-11
- The church is glorious – Eph.5:25-27
God’s Purpose for the Church

The Status of the Church
